A case of fatal assault and theft of gold

Thekkatte: Devaki Pujari (35), who was seriously injured in a case where an unknown person assaulted a woman on the head with an iron rod and robbed her of gold jewelery while she was waiting for school children to arrive near the Kadinabettu road in Korgi village of Kundapur taluk, is recovering.

SP instructs for speedy investigation
District Superintendent of Police N. Vishnuvardhan, DySP Srikanth, Circle Inspector Gopikrishna and Niranjan Gowda of Kandalur Rural Police Station visited. The SP got the information from the authorities and instructed to conduct a quick investigation and find the trail of the accused.

Parvathi said that the incident was so severe that an iron rod was stuck in Devaki’s hair.
