A woman loves to watch or read about horrific acts when they are fictional and not something that happened to a real human, she confirmed.
Lucy Phipps, 32, has sparked panic after revealing that she would rather watch a narratively satisfying TV show where the perpetrator is caught than a documentary about an always disturbing real-life murder .
Phipps said: “Most of my friends are obsessed with true crime, but somehow I took no pleasure in learning in detail how a serial killer bit his victims.
“I tried to go in make a killer But I didn’t know that I had to come to an oddly firm conclusion about who did it, like some kind of civilian spy. This sounds like a job for the police, and I don’t deserve it.
“A friend of mine says he loves listening to true crime podcasts in the shower, but somehow the terrifying details and tense music didn’t make me feel very relaxed. In fact, I was inexplicably scared. Maybe there’s something wrong with me. Is?”
Friend Kelly Howard said: “Lucy doesn’t find terrible psychopath Ted Bundy attractive in a dark, edgy way. He’s f**king weird, right?”
