Rawalpindi: Major General Syed Asim Munir has said that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs will not go in vain, God willing, complete peace will be restored in Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Syed Asim Munir visited the forward posts in South Waziristan.
According to the ISPR, the commander attended the Martyrs’ Memorial in Wana and also visited the formation headquarters. The commander was briefed on operational, training and security matters at the formation headquarters. The army chief was also briefed on social and economic development projects in the newly merged districts.
A Pakistan Army spokesman says the general appreciated the agency’s efforts to fight terrorism, the general reiterated Pakistan Army’s determination to end the scourge of terrorism.
