Terrorist associate arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla
A terrorist associate has been arrested with arms and ammunition in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The police gave this information on Saturday. Security forces on Friday set up a regular mobile vehicle post at Aothura Bala bridge in north Kashmir’s Baramulla. A police officer said that during the investigation, the joint team stopped a person whose movement was suspected.
He said that the man tried to run away after seeing the Naka party. However, the Alert Joint Party tactfully caught him. He said the terrorist associate has been identified as Mohammad Salim Khan, a resident of Shrakwada Kareri.
Arms and ammunition including a pistol, a pistol magazine and five pistol rounds were recovered from Khan during the search, the official said.
He said that during preliminary investigation it was found that he had procured these illegal arms and ammunition with the intention of carrying out terrorist activities in Creeri and adjoining areas.
The official said a case has been registered and investigation has been started.
