Mumbai : For the past few days, heavy rainfall has continued in Mumbai along with Konkan, Ghat region of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. The India Meteorological Department has predicted similar rains for the next three days, till Thursday. Mumbai city and suburbs have been receiving rain since last Friday. After that, the rain gradually increased. Some parts of western and eastern suburbs received heavy rain on Sunday night. It was also raining since Monday morning. It rained in the morning in the city. There was heavy rain in Konkan and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha. Officials of the Indian Meteorological Department informed that heavy rains occurred in some places in Konkan and Ghats.
A low pressure area has formed over south Odisha, coastal north Andhra Pradesh and northwest, west-central Bay of Bengal. A depression has formed along the coast from South Maharashtra to Karnataka. As a result, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Konkan, Ghat region of Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and heavy rain in some places for the next two days. Jayanta Sarkar said. In the last 24 hours till 8:30 on Monday morning, 34 mm of rain has been recorded in Santa Cruz and 54 mm in Colaba.
