New Delhi : Balwinder Singh, 35, of Malan village in Punjab’s Gaddarbaha tehsil, has been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia for killing a man. In order to avoid this punishment, it has been asked to deposit Rs 2 crore as blood money till May 15. Survivors somehow managed to save Rs. 18.5 million, but now another Rs. 1.5 million is required. Releasing the video, Dr. Oberoi from the profession said that Balwinder Singh, 35, a resident of Punjab, has been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia in a murder case. In order to avoid this punishment, Rs. 2 crore has been demanded in case of blood money or fine. The affected family has so far collected Rs. 14.5 million. He further said that the company in which he works has also promised assistance of Rs. 4 million.

Dr. O’Brien said he had spoken to Bluinder’s brother. Her family needs an additional Rs 1.5 million to save Blender. In view of this, I have promised assistance of Rs. 20 lakhs. The money will be deposited in a bank in Saudi Arabia from India. The approval of the Government of India has also been obtained for this.

In 2013, Balwinder Singh of Malan village in Punjab was found guilty of killing a man in Saudi Arabia. According to local law, if Balwinder Singh fails to pay Rs 2 crore as penalty, he can be sentenced to death.

Balwinder Singh’s brother Hardeep Singh said that in 2013 there was a quarrel between a Punjabi youth and a Saudi citizen. Bluinder intervened to end the altercation, and at the same time, the man pulled out a knife to attack Bluinder. Bluinder saw a knife in his hand and attacked the citizen with a stick in self-defense. Even after being hospitalized for four hours, he could not be saved and died.

Boulevard Singh was the first to be sentenced to seven years in prison for killing a Saudi citizen. The court then ordered him to deposit Rs 2 crore as blood money by November 8, 2021. He was also sentenced to death for non-payment. Bluinder then asked the court for more time to arrange the money, after which the deadline was extended to May 15.
