PM Modi, Amit Shah to attend BJP’s national executive meeting in Hyderabad on July 2

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Executive meeting at the Hyderabad International Convention Center on July 2 and 3.
According to sources, party’s expansion, 2024 general elections and new policies of the party are likely to be on the agenda of the meeting. Sources said that they will also discuss the areas where more party workers need to be involved.
“Other possible agendas are 2024 Lok Sabha elections, upcoming state elections, new policies of the party, etc.,” the party source said. BJP national president JP Nadda is likely to hold a roadshow in Telangana and inaugurate an exhibition over the course of two days.
Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to reach Hyderabad on July 2 and may address the meeting on both the days.
Assembly elections are due in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh later this year.
Ahead of the BJP’s national executive meeting, a leader of a small party in Hyderabad was arrested by the Mughalpura police in Hyderabad on Wednesday for threatening to behead Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
According to media reports, Abdul Majeed Attar is the leader of a small party. Attar was demanding an apology for the statement made by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her remarks on the prophet.
He had spoken of harming PM Modi and Shah, besides Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, if he did not apologize for his remarks on the prophet.
The accused had put up a post on Facebook carrying posters of PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath and demanded that top RSS and BJP leaders be ready to apologize or be beheaded for their remarks on the prophet.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in Cyberabad Commissionerate on Wednesday ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Executive meeting.
