Peshawar: Two members of Sikh community killed in firing in Sarband

Unidentified assailants shot dead two people in the Sarband area of ​​Peshawar. The dead belong to the Sikh community.

According to police, the attack took place in Batta Til Bazaar within the limits of Sarband police station. The deceased have been identified as Saljit Singh, 42, and Ranjit Singh, 38.

The suspects managed to escape after the attack, which is being searched in the area, while important evidence has been collected from the scene. Surrounding CCTV cameras are also being checked.

Security officials said that human intelligence was being used to reach the suspects and the culprits would be identified soon.

According to rescue teams, the bodies have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for postmortem. According to sources, the victims have spice shops in Bata Til Bazaar.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has also taken notice of the incident. In his condemnation statement, the Chief Minister said that the incident was highly reprehensible and regrettable. The elements involved in the murder will never escape the grip of the law.

The Chief Minister KP has directed the Inspector General of Police to take immediate action against those involved in the murder.
