Nine years after abduction, the girl met the family members; Important role of female domestic help IV News

“The (kidnapping) incident happened in 2013 when she was going to her civic school. She was walking with her elder brother, who was studying in class 4 at that time. He was walking ahead of her. But sometime Later, when he returned, he did not find her,” the officer said.

After attending his classes, he went to Pooja’s class, where his teacher told him that he was absent. He went home and told his parents about him. They approached the DN Nagar police station, following which a missing person report was initially registered.

The city police had started a search for Pooja and posters with her photo in school uniform were also distributed in the area.

For Assistant Sub Inspector Rajendra Bhosale (now retired), who was in charge of the missing persons bureau at DN Nagar police station, it became a mission to trace the girl. Police said Bhosale, who is now 65, always kept the girl’s picture in his pocket, but there was no trace of her whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Pramila Devendra, a 35-year-old domestic helper working in suburban Juhu, met Pooja, who had been working in the same locality as her for the past few months.

“During their conversation, Pooja once told him that she was being harassed by her family members, who were not her original parents. She told him that she had been kidnapped. Pramila then took to the internet. Searched whether there was any news report about her missing case. Appeared anywhere. During the search, she found stories and articles about Pooja, after which she informed DN Nagar police station about her case ,” said the police officer.
