A new ATR-77 plane, equipped with the latest tools and weaponry, has been added to the Pakistan Navy fleet on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the induction ceremony of the AR 77 plane was held in Karachi. Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza was the chief guest of the ceremony.
ISPR said that the new ATR-77 plane is equipped with the latest technology and weaponry which would add to the operational capabilities of the Pakistan Navy.
While addressing the ceremony, General Nadeem Raza highlighted the strategic changes in the Indian Ocean, and said that the Navy is determined to face any challenge that comes their way, the ISRP added.
ISPR told that the Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Ahmed Khan Niazi and serving and retired officers of all three armed forces participated in the ceremony.
