Nellai: Accident of rock fall in Kalkuvari – 2 people were rescued… what happened to the remaining 4 people?
Two people trapped in a landslide at a private mine in Nellai have been rescued, while four others are still trapped.
There is a private mine at Adamithippanakulam near Munnirapallam in Nellai district. There was a sudden landslide in the middle of the night when the employees were doing duty there. 6 workers got stuck between the rocks and the mine. Informed rescue teams have been removing rocks and rescuing rescuers by crane since midnight. So far, two laborers have been safely rescued with a rope.
The problem persists in rescuing a man fighting for life between the academy and the vehicle for hours. An attempt was made to rescue him by helicopter. But, as this was not possible, the helicopter went back. Meanwhile, the condition of 3 more people is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, District Collector Vishnu and Nellai Sarka DIG Parveshkumar supervised the rescue operation.
