The operator of Mumbai International Airport said in a statement that it has been decided to keep the runway closed from 11 am to 5 pm on October 18. On October 18, both the runways will be closed for runway repair and maintenance work.
According to the airport authority, passengers have been told that if they travel by air during this time or are planning to do so, then they can cancel the travel program during this time. The airport authority said that flights will not operate from Mumbai airport during this period. It is clear that during this time the passengers may have to face a lot of problems.
800 aircraft operating every day
Mumbai Airport has two very busy runways, with the main runway 9/27 and the other operating runway 14/32. 800 aircraft are operated every day from these two runways. Mumbai Airport is the second largest aerodome after Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
