MoU in the presence of International Chess Tournament at Mamallapuram- Dinamani

The preparations for the International Chess Tournament are in full swing. The MoU was signed in the presence of MK Stalin earlier on Saturday.

For the first time in the history of India, the 44th Chess Olympiad will be held in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu from 28 July to 10 August. There are only a few days left for the tournament to begin and preparations are in full swing for this.

MoU: An MoU has been signed between the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Chess Federation of India for the Chess Tournament to be held at the historic Mamallapuram. Subsequently, Indian chess players and athletes who participated in the Chess Olympiad first met and congratulated MK Stalin. All India Chess Federation President Sanjay Kapoor, Secretary Parath Singh Selkan, Sports Development and Youth Welfare Minister Shiv Meyanathan and Chief Secretary V Irianpu were also present in the MoU.

After the event, All India Chess Federation (ACBF) conducts a joint interview with journalists including Tamil Nadu men’s chess coach Srinath :-

The MoU was signed on Saturday to organize a chess tournament in Mamallapuram. The first one congratulated us. There will be an unprecedented number of matches. More than 2,000 athletes from different countries are expected to participate in the competition. The competition is going to be massive. Firstly, MK Stalin promised all cooperation.

International Women’s Tennis Tournament in Nungambakkam

Sports Development and Youth Welfare Minister Shiva Meyanathan has announced that permission has been given to organize an international tennis tournament in Nungambakkam, Chennai. In this regard, he gave an interview to the press persons in the General Secretariat premises on Saturday:-

Good news for tennis players. The International Women’s Tennis Tournament will be held from 26 September to 2 October at the Nungambakkam Stadium in Chennai. On Saturday, MK Stalin handed over a condolence letter to Tamil Nadu Tennis Association President Vijay Amitraj. We are going to take steps for this. The Nungambakkam tennis court is to be upgraded to a world level. Rs 5 crore has been allocated for the first phase of these works.

The beach volleyball tournament is scheduled to take place later this year. Minister Myanathan said that arrangements would be made to organize it in different parts of Tamil Nadu.
