Kathmandu, March 15 (Language) A meeting of 10 political parties to reach a consensus on Nepal’s vice presidential candidate Ramsahai Yadav remained inconclusive on Wednesday.
The position of vice president will be voted on March 17.
Nepal’s Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Ramsahai, CPN-UML’s Aastha Lakshmi Shakya and Janmat Party’s Mamta Jha are in the race for the post of vice president.
Sources said the meeting of 10 political parties held at the official residence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” on Wednesday to develop a consensus on the name of the vice-presidential candidate was still inconclusive.
Yadav, on the other hand, has the support of seven parties.
