Several people were trapped after a huge rock collapsed in a mine located at Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. 30 jawans of 4th Battalion of NDRF have been sent to rescue them.
During mining, a huge rock fell 300 feet. NDRF team has been sent from Arakkonam for relief and rescue work. NDRF said that a control room has been set up for 24-hour monitoring of relief operations.
