Loans not being waived from Eurobonds and commercial banks: Miftah Ismail IV News

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail says that loans from Eurobonds borrowers and commercial banks are not being waived.
Miftah Ismail wrote in a message on the social networking site Twitter that due to the climatic disasters Pakistan is facing, the debt will be waived from the creditors of the Paris Club on a mutual basis.
The Minister of Finance had to write that the debt is not being waived from the creditors of Eurobonds and commercial banks, there is no need to waive the debt from commercial banks.
He further wrote that one billion dollars worth of bonds are due by December, which will be repaid on time.
In his tweet, Miftah Ismail wrote that until 2051, Pakistan owes 8 billion dollars in Eurobonds, a large part of the debt is from friendly countries.
