Hindutva card of CM Uddhav
Amidst the political crisis in the chair of Maharashtra, the Uddhav Thackeray government has taken three important decisions playing the card of Hindutva in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday (June 29, 2022). The cabinet has given its approval for renaming Aurangabad city as ‘Sambhajinagar’, while Osmanabad city as ‘Dharashiv’ and renaming Navi Mumbai International Airport as Late DB Patil International Airport.

However, the Maharashtra government has taken these decisions at a time when Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has asked the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress to prove its majority on June 30 (Thursday). But Shiv Sena has challenged this decision in the Supreme Court and in such a situation, if the decision of the top court does not come in favor, then Uddhav Thackeray may have to lose power.
Let us tell you that today the developments in Maharashtra seemed to be changing rapidly. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray called a cabinet meeting just when the Supreme Court began hearing on a petition challenging tomorrow’s floor test. At the end of this cabinet meeting, CM Thackeray became very emotional and said, “I am thankful for your cooperation in the last two and a half years, but if I have hurt your heart with anything, then forgive me for that.”
At the same time, while targeting the rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena, he said that many people also cheated. At the same time, it has been decided in the cabinet meeting today that the reconstruction of Ahmednagar-Beed-Parli Vaijnath new railway line project will be approved and the state government will contribute for it. Along with this, the cabinet meeting also discussed the implementation of Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule Gharkul scheme for special backward classes and other backward classes in rural areas.
It is worth noting that in the past, minister Eknath Shinde has revolted in Shiv Sena and camped in Guwahati. There are about 39 MLAs of Shiv Sena in his camp. On the other hand, Eknath Shinde claims that he has a total of 50 MLAs including independents. Let us tell you that today itself Shinde claimed that we have the support of more than two-thirds of the MLAs, which in any floor test will prove to be more than the required number. At the same time, it is also being speculated that Uddhav Thackeray should not resign before the floor test.
