Here we will tell you what is the reality of this claim.
In fact, from social media to media organizations, various claims are being made regarding Sparsh Darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. “Zee Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand” has headlined its report, “Heavy amount must be paid for sparsh darshan in Kashi Vishwanath temple, every devotee will get a chance instead of VIP facility”.

Similarly, Dainik Jagran’s report is headlined: “There will be charge for Baba’s sparsh darshan at Kashi Vishwanath temple, trust board gives green signal”.

“Bharat Samachar” has also claimed to charge Rs 500-1000 for its Twitter account. It has also been said that devotees get entry to the sanctum sanctorum only after paying the fee.

“UP Tak” has also said on Twitter, “You may soon have to pay a fee to have Kashi Vishwanath Baba’s sparsh darshan. The temple management can take ₹ 500-₹ 1000 from the devotees. This proposal has also been accepted by the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust Council.
Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council member and Samajwadi Party leader Ashutosh Mishra also tweeted about this. He said, “BJP government first distanced the public from Aarti by imposing ‘Aarti fee’ in Kashi Vishwanath temple. Now by imposing ‘touch fee’ she is keeping the poor and needy from darshan. We will continue to expose this BJP conspiracy.”

A user named Vandana Kalra wrote a newspaper clipping, “There will be a charge for Baba’s sparsh darshan at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple! Do you think the government and the people in the country will just agree when all is said and done?

While looking into this viral claim, we found a statement from Kaushal Raj Sharma, Executive Director of Varanasi. In this statement, he has called such news false. The manager of Varanasi has said, “One day there was a meeting with the trust. A similar surfaced after a day or two as well. Even then it was clear. At present no fee is charged for Sparsh Darshan at the temple.
Thus, this claim made from social media to media organizations regarding Sparsh Darshan at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple was found to be completely fake in our fact checking.
