Police family and LRD women candidates staged a road clash near Gandhinagar Satyagraha camp today. The traffic was jammed for some time as the agitators sat on the road. Meanwhile, the police detained him.
Today was the last day of the two-day short session of the Legislative Assembly. Meanwhile, demonstrations were held by LRD women candidates and police families at the Satyagraha camp. LRD women have been agitating for the past ten days in the capital city demanding justice for the injustice in LRD recruitment in 2018. They have camped at the Satyagraha camp. The women candidates allege that as many as 313 unreserved women candidates have to be deprived of jobs as the resolution of 1 August 2018 is canceled during the ongoing recruitment. Their document verification has also been done. However, the order has not yet been received. Today these women candidates were scattered. They came to the road on the Gha road and did a skirmish. While sitting on the road, the traffic stopped on both sides. Women candidates raised slogans demanding justice. On the other hand, the police stationed in Bandobast later removed these women candidates and detained them. When the members of the police family started the agitation for the demand of Rahmarah job. They also protested today at Satyagraha camp on Gha road. At one point these agitators came out on the road. Due to which the road was blocked. As the traffic got stuck, the police tried to disperse the agitators. Meanwhile, there was a clash between the two sides. Police detained around 200 agitators from here.
Detention of farmers who went to petition MLA
Farmers who are agitating on various issues including Samaj Vijdar, today tried to enter the member’s residence and present the petition to the MLAs. However, the police rushed to the spot and detained some of these farmers. It may be mentioned that the farmers have been protesting in Gandhinagar for more than a fortnight. This movement is going on under the aegis of Kisan Sangh. Farmers are fighting for various issues including equal electricity rates. However, their question has not been resolved yet.
A protester clashed with the police during the Chakkajam on Gha Road
During the agitation led by the police family, some agitators came down on Gha road. They blocked the road. Ashok Kanaiyalal Solanki of Rajpur village of Kadi in Mehsana district rushed in as the police tried to drag him off the road and started detaining proceedings. He started the period. When the police tried to stop the man, he became more agitated and scuffled with the police.
