Ranchi, March 15 (Language) The Jharkhand government on Wednesday passed the “Corporate Medical Services (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Bill 2023” for the protection of doctors and individuals and institutions associated with state medical services.
Jharkhand Cabinet Minister Ajay Kumar Singh told the media here that this important bill was passed along with 39 other proposals in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren late this evening.
Taking into account the demand of the health sector following frequent incidents of violence against doctors and paramedics in various parts of the state, the government approved this bill.
What is interesting is that on March 1, doctors of the entire state went on strike because of this law.
Now it will be processed in the National Assembly and sent to the governor for approval so that it can be put into law.
The Indian Medical Association has expressed satisfaction with the passage of this Bill in the Cabinet.
