Several schools in Bhopal received threatening e-mails with fake IDs on Friday, leaving students and school administration in a state of panic for hours. However, after hours of searching by the state police, no suspicious items were found. Most of the schools that receive threatening e-mails come under CBSE, where Grade 12 students were taking their final exams on Friday.

The e-mail received from the school officials said, “There are two powerful bombs in your school. Call the police immediately … This is not a joke, I repeat, this is not a joke.” Hundreds of lives are on the brink of death, act quickly, because there is still time, otherwise everything could end. Don’t say you weren’t warned. It’s all up to you now. “

Immediately after receiving the e-mail, the school administration officials informed the police and called for an immediate search operation. A school principal wrote to the TT Nagar police station, “We received about 50 threatening e-mails over a period of time, stating that our school had two powerful bombs. The final exams for the 12th grade students are going on in our school, so please take the necessary action as soon as possible. ”

Police immediately launched a search operation in the schools with bomb detection and disposal squad. However, no objectionable items were recovered. Later, Commissioner of Police Makrand Deoskar told the media that it was a fake bomb threat and nothing was found during the search operation. “The cyber police are trying to trace the person who sent the e-mails to the schools,” Deusker said. Anyone found involved in creating terror will be punished according to the law. ”
