13 dead in 24 hours in India Kovide! 2,46 more infected! – News18 Bangla

#NewDelhi: In one day, 2,46 people were newly infected with the coronavirus. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of Kovid-19 infections in India has risen to 4,31,21,599. The number of active infections has dropped to 18,692, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday. The death toll in Kovida rose to 5,24,214 in 13 new deaths. Active infections account for 0.04 percent of total infections. The recovery rate in the country after losing COVID-19 is 98.64 percent. According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate is 0.61 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.62 percent.

The number of people recovering from the disease has risen to 4,25,69,693, with a mortality rate of 1.22 percent. So far 191.32 crore doses of vaccine have been given in the country under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

The number of Kovid-19 infections in India was 2 million on 6 August 2020, 3 million on 23 August, 4 million on 5 September and 5 million on 16 September. The country averaged a record 60 million infections on September 26, 80 million on October 11, 80 million on October 29, 90 on November 20 and one on December 19.

India crossed the milestone of two crore infections on May 7 last year and three crore on June 23 last year. Of the 13 new deaths in the last 24 hours, eight were in Kerala, four in Delhi and one in Maharashtra.

1,46,754 from Maharashtra, 69,363 from Kerala, 40,105 from Karnataka, 36,025 from Tamil Nadu, 26,192 from Delhi, 23,513 from Uttar Pradesh and 23,513 from West Bengal. A total of 5,24,214 deaths have been reported in the country The health ministry, however, said more than 80 per cent of deaths were due to comorbidities.

“Our figures are being matched with those of the Indian Council of Medical Research,” the health ministry said on its website.
